Inspired by many visits and residencies spent in Corcha Dhuibhne, West Kerry, Ireland, this body of work, Dúchas spans ten years. In Irish, dúchas means inheritance, native place or land, connection, affinity or attachment due to descent: inherited instinct or natural tendency. These paintings were all inspired by the writings of the great literary genius from An Blascaod Mór, Tomás Ó Criomhthain.
